What are the dates and times for College for Kids?
College for Kids is held in two sessions. The first session is July 13th through the 16th and the second session runs from July 20th through the 23rd. The 1-1/2 hour classes will run from 8:30am - l0:00am, Monday through Thursday. The three-hour classes will start at 8:30am and continue until 11:50am, Monday through Thursday.
Where will the classes be held?
College for Kids classes will be held on the MSUM campus.

What is the age requirement?
Students must be eight years old by July 1st, 2009 and no older than fourteen years old. Coursework is designed especially for this age group unless otherwise noted in the course description.
What is the cost per class?
Each class has a separate class fee of its own. Refer to the course descriptions for cost of the class.
Where can I get a brochure?
Brochures are available at the Continuing Studies office on the MSUM campus, 811 - 11th St South, Moorhead, MN. College for Kids information can also be found on our website: http://www.mnstate.edu/collegeforkids
You may register by printing and filling out the registration form provided on this website. Please return the registration form with payment to the address listed on the form.
Can parents visit the class?
Some classes will have material to display or presentations where the parents will be invited to attend on Thursday during the last 1/2 hour of the session. Notification will be made in advance for those classes where parents are invited to attend.
Must I complete the Parent Consent Form?
Yes, it is very important that the Parental Consent Form is completed for each student enrolled in College for Kids. The staff needs an adult contact person in case of injury, illness, or disciplinary problems. Please be sure to give a phone number where you or a responsible party can be reached during the sessions. No answering machines please.
What do I do if my child misses class or must leave early?
If your child will miss or need to be excused early from class you must notify the College for Kids office prior to class. Instructors will not allow students to leave class early for any reason without notifying the College for Kids office.
What is the cancellation policy?
The class fee will be refunded only if a student withdraws by noon on June 25, 2009. If the class in cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be reimbursed the full tuition amount.
How can I know what sessions are full?
Sessions do fill quickly. Please check our web site at www.mnstate.edu/collegeforkids for an updated list of closed classes.
When will I receive confirmation information for my son/daughter's class(es)?
Approximately 3 weeks before College for Kids begins, you will receive a confirmation letter in the mail. This letter will provide complete instructions on drop off and pick up locations, any special items your child should bring and the classes they are confirmed for.
