Architect Your World

Roll up your sleeves and get ready to build!  But leave your hammers at home!  In this course, students will use everyday materials and art supplies to build a miniature scale version of the MSUM campus.  Students will recreate the buildings, landscape and environment of the campus by turning one dimension maps and pictures into their own three-dimensional world.

It may be stinky, it may be crusty, or it may be slimy, but it’s definitely disgusting!  Come and explore why your brother’s feet are so stinky, if it’s possible to fill a swimming pool with your mucus, and what kind of plants you have growing in your nose. We’ll be exploring these and other fascinating facts and performing really “gross” experiments!

It's 3-D to Me

Create 3-D textures houses, paper furniture, sculpture people, and masks. Through your creations, learn about careers in art including architecture, bookmaking, sculpting, interior design and furniture design.

Journey to Egypt

Come along on a journey to Egypt. Young sculptors will make a golden King Tut mask and design a sarcophagus tomb. Learn about the art of hieroglyphics by designing a symbolic picture and discover how Egyptians mummified bodies.

Charge up your brain! It’s time to get hands on! Boys and girls will get to learn about electricity, motors and simple circuits by actually doing it – safely! Painting Masterpieces

Come and learn about the wonderful Masters of Art: Monet, Manet, Van Gogh, DaVinci, Seurat, Matisse and more. Have fun drawing, painting, and sculpting.
