Volunteer Visions is a community based student volunteer program.  We strive to increase social awareness, promote the personal and educational benefits of participation and encourage students to develop life-long social responsibility in the community and on campus.

Goals:

  • Target individual students and student groups for participation in campus and community projects.

  • To prepare students for a life of involved and committed citizenship.

  • To enhance students development (academic, career and personal) and help them develop leadership and communication skills.

Volunteer Visions Role:

  • Identify and arrange relevant, appropriate community agencies and positions.

  • Inform students of community agencies and their volunteer opportunities.

  • Coordinate placement of student volunteers.

  • Troubleshoot if and when problems arise with the agency and/or student volunteers.

If you are interested in Volunteering in your community or campus there is a full listing of opportunities at Service Learning or on the wall outside the Volunteer Visions office on the 2nd Floor of the CMU.
