Electronic Databases:

ERIC
(Access through Cambridge Scientific Abstracts)
Includes Resources in Education (microfiche documents) and Current Index to Journals in Education (CIJE).  One advantage to searching ERIC through the CSA interface is that it connects to MSUM's holdings and it also has a searchable ERIC Thesaurus.  This interface also connects you to the "National Criminal Justice," "Sociological Abstracts," and "Social Services Abstracts" databases when you choose to search additional databases within CSA. Also note the ERIC Search Wizard which can navigate the ERIC thesaurus on-line to identify the controlled vocabulary for searching the ERIC database. As you navigate the thesaurus, you will encounter, for most terms, a definition along with identified related terms, broader terms, and narrower terms at:  http://searcheric.org/scripts/ewiz/amain5.asp
