To locate basal readers in the CMC, look in the following three areas, all in the sample text section:

1. Most of the series are in the call number Curric. Text 428.6. Within that call number, the series are in alphabetical order by publisher.  The newest series available are:

                    Houghton Mifflin Reading.  Curric. Text 428.6 H83 L49
                    Scott Foresman Reading.  Curric. Text 428.6 S42 R28 2004

2. There is one series available that integrates language arts and reading that is located in the language arts section.  Its title and call number is:

                  Scholastic Literacy Place.  Curric. Text 428.2 S36 S36

3. There are two editions available that integrate literature and reading that are located in the literature section. Their titles and call numbers are:

                  HBJ Treasury of Literature.  Curric. Text 800 H25 T78
                  Treasury of Literature.  Curric. Text 800 H248 T78
