“While working on my master’s degree in Library and Information Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I took a graduate course on the tales of Hans Christian Andersen. I was captivated by the story of Andersen’s life and by his enchanting fairy tales. A few years, I was fortunate enough to take a class on the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm from JAck Zipes at the University of Minnesota. When I saw this recent title on Andersen written by Zipes, one of the leading scholars in the area of traditional literature, I thought it would make an excellent addition to our library collection.”
