“Women of White Earth presents portraits of forty-three members of the Minnesota White Earth Tribe. These images are matched with interviews that reveal the complexity of their lives as Native American women. Because this book is becoming difficult to acquire and because it contains a contemporary perspective of women enrolled in the White Earth reservation, it is an important text for the library to hold. It is a testimony to the lives of the women of White Earth, their personal, spiritual, professional, political and cultural lives/experiences. Much is revealed, as well, regarding the history and function of the reservation."
