Drummond, Dorothy. Holy Land, Whose Land?: Modern Dilemma, Ancient Roots. Seattle: Educare Press, 2002.
Dr. Sando chose this book because:
“Dorothy Drummond is possibly the most geographically literate person I know. Her treatment of a difficult subject of the conflicts in the Middle East, both from a geographical and historical viewpoint, is masterful and insightful. Dorothy has lead a life steeped in travel and acquisition of knowledge. She is past president of National Council for Geographic Education, a passionate educator herself, and an aficionado of all things geographic. As all students need good mentors along their road to educational fulfillment, I am happy to list Dorothy as one of mine. I hope that students reading this book will experience the joy of sharing experiences with a good mentor and colleague.”
