“This book speaks to every one of us, regardless of our chosen academic field or professional pursuit. It is what life is about…the interconnection of humans in the family setting and the cyclical rhythm that exists among generations. Without a sense of interdependence, we are left empty and adrift. Love and caring for each other is all that matters in the end. I have given this book to so many people over the years. It took on special meaning on August 21st, 2006, when my eighty-seven-year-old mother died. My siblings and I took care of her during her final illness of three months. I took care of her house and chores for twenty-five years after she was widowed. I placed in her casket the copy of Love You Forever that I had bought for her.”
