Ms. Baldwin chose this book because:

“Sixty-one years ago, my father, Kenneth Baldwin, was released from a Romanian prison of war camp along with close to 1000 other men.  Most of the prisoners had been crew members of the B-24 and B-17 bombers sent to bomb the Ploesti oil fields.  Bill Fili was one of those men.  In honor of them, and my father, I would like the library to purchase this book in honor of my tenure and promotion.”
