- Juvenile Literature
Books appropriate for the preschool child through young adult are divided into three areas: easy books, fiction, and non-fiction.
- Sample
Textbooks
Textbooks are available for subjects taught at kindergarten through high school levels.
- Curriculum
Bulletins/Activity Books
Curriculum bulletins are available in paper, microfiche, and electronic formats. The paper collection also includes teaching activity books which have numerous ideas for lesson plans. The Kraus Curriculum Development Library is an extensive collection organized in 22 subject areas for preschool through adult basic education. These curricula are available on microfiche and/or in electronic format.
- Multi-media Materials
This collection includes materials appropriate for preschool through college level. Materials include filmstrips, video cassettes, video disks, computer disks, CD-ROM programs, slides, kits, games, flash cards, transparencies, sound recordings, tape cassettes, and realia. The necessary equipment for using these materials is available in or near the Center.
- Reference
Books
The reference collection includes reference sources related to other materials in the CMC collections. These books may circulate with permission from a reference librarian.
- Picture
and Portrait Files
Pictures on a wide variety of topics and portraits of famous persons are available in this collection.
- School-related
Publishers Catalogs
This vertical file collection contains catalogs of juvenile books, K-12 textbooks, teacher resource materials, and audiovisual materials.
- Historical
Textbooks
The historical text collection includes a select collection of K-12 textbooks of historical value. The collection dates back to the early 1800's. To access this collection, check with a reference librarian.

Historical Curriculum Bulletins
This collection contains bulletins published by the Minnesota Department of Education/Minnesota Department of Children, Families and Learning, which were published at least 20 years ago. To access this collection, check with a reference librarian.
