Construction Management

Career Paths

Not Just a Job. A Career.

As a construction manager you'll plan, schedule, budget and coordinate all the construction activities associated with a construction project. Our graduates generally hold down professional level jobs that include:

  • Project Manager
  • Estimator
  • Field Engineer
  • Job Superintendent
  • Chief Scheduler
  • Safety Engineer

There are four major sectors that make up the construction industry:

  • Heavy/Civil - Highways and Bridges
  • Industrial - Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment, Petroleum, and Power
  • Commercial Building - Public and Private
  • Residential - Multifamily Housing

Employers from all four sectors of the construction industry depend on MSUM graduates. And because each sector is dependent on a variety of economic variables, graduates are always in high demand.
