Dear Prospective Employer:
It is a pleasure to recommend the students whose resumes are included in the Student Profile Review for permanent employment with your firm or as a temporary employee in an internship position. Please give these students careful consideration when you evaluate your employment requirements. Minnesota State University Moorhead's Construction Management (CM) graduates seek opportunities to contribute to the continued success of any construction related business, especially in areas of problem solving, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
The alumni of this growing program are performing well for their employers. Graduates are mature, goal-oriented, enthusiastic, and possess a strong work ethic. In fact, most students have earned a large portion of their college expenses while attending school on a full-time basis. All of the graduates have supplemented their construction course work with a well-rounded education that includes a sound business background. I am confident that Minnesota State University Moorhead's graduates will be successful in attaining their goals and be a strong, positive force for their employers. The CM program is accredited by the American Council of Construction Education (ACCE) and the National Association of Industry Technology (NAIT). It is the only construction related program in the state of Minnesota accredited by either ACCE or NAIT.
All students who graduate from the MSUM CM program are required to sit for the first level of the Certified Professional Construction examination process. The national certification is given to students who graduate from ACCE, NAIT, or ABET accredited institutions. Graduates will benefit because the CPC examination provide an internationally recognition certification of construction skills and knowledge. Minnesota State University Moorhead is the only university in Minnesota from which CM graduates can take this examination.
This booklet contains two different sections of student resumes. The first section, 2005/06 Academic Year Construction Management Graduates, contains resumes of students who are graduating in December 2005 & May of 2006 and are seeking permanent employment. The second section, Undergraduates Seeking Internships, contains resumes of sophomores and juniors who are seeking internships/ summer employment. I urge you to consider hiring these students so that they can acquire valuable work experience prior to graduating. Remember, these are the same students you may want to hire in the future, so summer employment/internships are mutually beneficial.
If you require more information or wish to extend an interview, please feel free to contact the students directly regarding their qualifications or career status. If I can be of further assistance, please contact me at (218)
