The programs within the College of Education and Human Services (CEHS) span a broad range of Human Services disciplines, including Nursing, Athletic Training, Speech Pathology, Education, Social Work, and more. What they share is a set of core principles that combine service to others and to the community with a high standard of professional excellence.
Just as hands-on “real world” work is inherent to the Human Services professions, authentic hands-on experience is an integral part of the Human Services curricula. Many of our programs place students in field experiences as part of the very first introductory course to ensure that our students’ education is grounded in practice as well as theory.
Students in our programs enjoy moderate class sizes and a high level of personalized interaction with their instructors. CEHS faculty members strive to be accessible, approachable and student-centered. Our students report that this close interaction is one of the things they value most about their educational experience at MSUM.
The College of Education and Human Services is comprised of collaborative, community minded professionals who provide rigorous, best practices education to prepare students to meet the social, education, leadership, health and human service needs of our world.
