  • China in Transition: Business Opportunity and Risk

    The School of Business at MSUM is hosting China in Transition: Business Opportunity and Risk Thursday, Nov. 15 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the MSUM Center for Business Atrium. Located on 11th St. S between 7th and 8th Ave.

    China in Transition is designed to help professionals understand business opportunities and risks that exist between China and the United States. There will be a research presentation and panel discussion with regional experts. The discussion will revolve around China's legal, educational, manufacturing, labor, and cultural elements and how they affect regional business.

    Learning Outcomes:

    • Can there be a strong U.S. without a strong China and vice versa?
    • Should your company consider/continue outsourcing manufacturing to China or bring it back to the U.S.?
    • What does China's continuously educated population mean to U.S. business and schools?
    • Legal transparency in China vs. U.S.
    • What are the future prospects for mutual investment and growth between U.S. and China?
    • How is communication and marketing evolving between China and the U.S.?
