Resume Workshops

Learn to write a resume that will market you effectively.  Plan to attend a  workshop before you upload your resume into DragonCareers — our online site where employers can access you for full-time jobs or internships.

 Workshops marked with an apple are for Education majors seeking teaching jobs.

Workshops without the apple symbol are for candidates seeking jobs in business, industry, non-profit or government.

Resume Review Appointments

After you have attended a Resume Workshop or have a previously created resume, you may set up an appointment with a staff member for further help with drafting objectives, deciding what experience and qualifications to emphasize, describing your experiences, formatting, and/or a general resume review.

Call 477-2131 to schedule an appointment for a resume review in our office in CMU 114 or drop in at our satellite office in the Center for Business, CB 101.

Minnesota Education Job Fair Workshop

Education Fair session is in Comstock Memorial Union (CMU) Room 207

Walk-In WednesdaysTo help prepare for the Minnesota Education Job Fair, we are offering "Walk-in Wednesdays."  Bring your resume or cover letter for a quick review by a Career Services staff member.  No appointment necessary.  These are on a first-come, first-served basis with a 15-minute time limit.  CMU 114, 4:30-6:00 p.m. on March 25 and April 1.

Interviewing Skills Workshops

If you will be interviewing for a job or internship, this workshop will provide tips to sharpen your interview skills and prepare you to handle behavioral-based interviewing and inappropriate or challenging questions.  Bring your questions.  Plan to take a workshop before participating in on-campus interviews and job fairs.

Teaching candidates — attend the workshops marked with an apple.  Unmarked workshops are for candidates seeking jobs in business, industry, non-profit and government.
