As director of the Career Development Center, I work with students, alumni, staff, faculty, employers, and community members to create optimum career development opportunities for MSUM students and alumni. My background includes career counseling, advising, leadership development, orientation and residence life at colleges and universities in Minnesota, Wisconsin and New Jersey. I hold a B.A. in communication arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a M.S. in counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Although I work with students at any point in their path to the future, I am particularly excited about working with exploring students, to help them find a direction. I have been working with college students in a variety of capacities for over 25 years. I hold a B.A. from Lawrence University and an M.S. in counseling and student affairs from MSUM. I recently completed a Ph.D. in educational leadership from UND, and look forward to continuing my research on students’ motivations for attending college.
