Art & Design
Teaches principles of art, instructs students in the use of materials, encourages the investigation of the creative process, and provides a framework for understanding the field of art in historic and contemporary contexts. Offers a B.S degree program in Art Education, B.A. and BFA degree programs in Studio Art, and a B.A. degree program in Art History.

Communication Studies
Offers theoretical and practical courses designed to improve communication competence. Students pursue careers in management, public relations, human resources, event management, or training.

East Asian Studies
Develops knowledge about Chinese and Japanese languages and cultures. The major can be effectively combined with business, education or numerous other degree programs.

English
Develops skills in written communication and literary interpretation. Offers a B.S. degree in English Teaching and a B.A. degree in English. Additionally, students can pursue an emphasis in writing or a certificate in publishing in conjunction with the Mass Communications Department.

Designed for students interested in the film industry or in the academic study of film.

Offers a B.A. degree in Music, the B.M. degree in Performance or Composition, and a B.M. degree in Music Industry.

Philosophy
Offers a reasoned pursuit of truths, a quest for understanding, and a study of principles of conduct. Emphases in ethics and critical thinking make Philosophy an excellent choice for a major or double-major with almost any degree.

The Social Studies major prepares students to apply for certification in social studies for grades 5-12 in Minnesota.

Theatre Arts
Provides students with high-caliber training in theatre that prepares them to create theatre of any kind at any level. Students perform on-stage and work behind the scenes to produce eight major productions each year.
