Dec. 2 Class
Welcome back from Thanksgiving break! We're in the home stretch, with just three more classes. The slides for Tuesday, Dec. 2 are online. Bring your questions about the final papers.
Nov. 11 Handouts
I've just posted the slides for the Nov. 11 class as well as a handout on writing guidelines.
For Tuesday, Nov. 11
On Tuesday, Nov. 11 we'll have our second test. A review sheet is available under Course Handouts. There is also now available the guidelines for the Final Analysis Paper. After the test, we'll have a panel of experts discuss the campaign, so bring your questions.
Franken at MSUM Monday
MSUM College Democrats are proud to announce that Al Franken is visiting MSUM during his "For the Middle Class, for a Change" tour. He will be speaking in the CMU Ballroom from 4:00-5:30 on Monday, October 27th. Also joining Franken is Mark Altenburg, MN House candidate for district 9a. Come and join us for this exciting event!

Oct. 21 Class Annoucements
The slides for the Tuesday, Oct. 21 class are available. Be sure to read Chapter 8 in the PCC book and write your Debate and/or Speaking Analysis Papers. (If you didn't write a paper on the candidate image, you'll have to do both.) More information is available here. We'll discuss direct voter contact and the Internet on Tuesday. Bring a laptop if you have one, since we'll be doing some group work looking at web sites.

DebateWatch
A reminder there is no class on Tuesday, Oct. 14 for the "fall breather." DebateWatch is the next night, Oct. 15 at 7:45 p.m. in SL 104. Extra credit points available. For more information, check out the DebateWatch Facebook group.
Oct. 7 Class Reminders
The slides for Tuesday, Oct. 7 are now available. Please print before class. Also, don't forget that there is a test on Tuesday. The review sheet was distributed last week in class and is available online. The test will take place during the first hour of class and then class will be held after, talking about speeches and debates. There is no new quiz and no papers are due.

Sept. 30 Class
I've posted the slides for Tuesday, Sept. 30. You'll recall that I decided to put the slides online before class, given class feedback. I've also added a couple of links to the Polling page of the Election Center site to which I'll refer Tuesday. Keep in mind two things.
1. Your Image Analysis papers are due. Rubric available here.
2. Class will be finished early on Tuesday.
Sept. 16 Class
