Biochemistry and Biotechnology Overview

Biochemistry is the chemistry of living organisms.  The science of biochemistry is essential to research in many cutting edge scientific disciplines provides innovative solutions to problems in agriculture, medicine, manufacturing, and environmental protection.  Biotechnology uses living cells, and materials produced by cells to create pharmaceutical, diagnostic, agricultural, environmental and other products that benefit society.  The science of biotechnology is also used to alter the genetic makeup of plants and animals in ways that benefit people.

Complete a Four-year Degree on the NHCC Campus

The Dual enrollment option for the Biochemistry and Biotechnology Emphasis allows students to take NHCC and MSUM courses simultaneously beginning during their sophomore year of college.
