DID YOU KNOW...There are a number of career resources available to you as a student?
The Job Seeker is a useful online resource with numerous environmental job postings.You can check out the current issue (which comes out on the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of each month) by getting a password from Career Services.
Those interested in a medical career will want to check out MNHospitalJobs.com, a career resource for healthcare professionals.
Also, check out MnCareers 2008, a data resource that has details about potential careers, including local wages skills needed, and what it's like on the job. Make the most of the career resources available to you!* Important *
Advising begins October 15th. Stop in and sign up for an appointment with your advisor. It is helpful if you bring your DARS to your advising appointment.

Important Information for Transfer Students
ADVISING IS IMPORTANT!
- Check the top of your DAR to see who your advisor is, or stop by the Biosciences office and ask the secretary.
- If you don't have an advisor, stop by the Biosciences office and we will assign somebody to you.
- The Biosciences faculty are happy to meet with students to discuss degree requirements, career options, classes, research opportunities and any aspects of MSUM campus life.
- You should feel free to contact your advisor anytime throughout the semester.
- You are REQUIRED to meet with your advisor each semester during advising week. This week is posted on the main Biosciences web page.
- Your advisor will have a sign-up sheet outside her/his office and during your appointment will help you select your classes for the following semester, discuss prerequisites, and post-graduation options.
- You will receive an access code from your advisor during this meeting that will allow you to register for the next semester.
