Welcome to the Biosciences Department at MSUM!

The Biosciences department is part of the College of Social and Natural Sciences (CSNS). We have a tradition of preparing broadly-educated graduates who are highly competitive for post-graduate educational opportunities and careers.

Our faculty pride themselves in offering students excellent classroom experiences and incorporating research throughout the curriculum. We also have a strong tradition of providing students with opportunities to become involved in mentored research projects outside of the classroom.

We offer a Biology B.A. with the option of obtaining an emphasis in ecology and evolutionary biology, health and medical sciences, or biochemistry and biotechnology. We also offer a B.A. in Life Science Education and, a B.S. in Medical Technology. Feel free to contact us - one of these programs will be right for you!

You can check out the current issue (which comes out on the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of each month) by getting a password from Career Services.
Those interested in a medical career will want to check out MNHospitalJobs.com, a career resource for healthcare professionals.

Also, check out MnCareers 2008, a data resource that has details about potential careers, including local wages skills needed, and what it's like on the job.
