Rollie Bulock, Head Coach
The first and most successful coach at Minnesota State University Moorhead, Rollie Bulock begins his ninth season as head coach of the Dragons, and while times and rosters change, the mission of returning to serious contending status in the rugged Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference remains priority one.
A member of the Dragon program from day one, Bulock returned as head coach in 2004 after a four-year hiatus. Bulock, 54, helped MSU Moorhead launch soccer as an official varsity sport in 1995 and remained with the Dragons through the 1999 season. In eight seasons as head coach at MSU Moorhead, Bulock has logged a 55-84-7 record.
A native of Devils Lake, ND, Bulock graduated from the University of North Dakota in 1975. He served as assistant women’s coach at Concordia College for seven years and produced a classy 81-6-7 record with four North Dakota State prep titles in six years as head coach at Fargo South High School in Fargo, ND.
He joined the MSU Moorhead athletic department in 1995 and guided the Dragons to their only NSIC crown in 1996. He developed one All-American, two all-region and 12 All-NSIC performers at State and was saluted as NSIC Coach of the Year in 1996 and 1998.
Bulock spent two years as assistant coach at Northern State University before accepting the head coaching position at Wayne State (NE) College in 2002. Bulock produced a 12-25-2 record in two seasons with the Wildcats and was named the NSIC Coach of the Year in 2002.
Bulock was a goalkeeper for the Britannia Soccer Club from 1987-89 in Winnipeg, Canada.
