Luke Herbert , Assistant Coach
A former student manager and volunteer student assistant coach with the Dragons, Luke Herbert has joined the Minnesota State University Moorhead men’s basketball staff as an assistant coach for 2007-08.
A native of Park Rapids and a three-sport letterman for the Panthers, Herbert received his B.S. degree in Elementary Education from MSU Moorhead last spring. During his stay at State in played on the club rugby team for five years.
Before enrolling at MSUM Herbert spent one year at Oak Hills Christian College in Bemidji and helped the Wolfpack capture the 2006 Association of Christian College Athletics Division II National Championship. He led the nation in rebounding with 10.9 boards per game and averaged 16.9 ppg.
