Jon Heath, Assitant Coach
Largely responsible for the ongoing vaulting success story at Minnesota State Moorhead that includes a NCAA Division II national champion, Jon Heath starts his fifth season on the Dragon staff this year. Heath concentrates on the MSUM pole vault crew and has developed seven national qualifiers in his first four seasons at State.
Heath built a remarkable prep coaching record at BOLD and Willmar High Schools. He tutored 18 Minnesota All-State awardwinners, three state champions, a national recordholder and an Olympic Trials qualifier. The 10 best vaults at Willmar High all came during the Heath era.
Heath placed fourth in the pole vault at the 1992 National Junior Olympic Games.
