Gary Harris, Head Coach
A faithful contributor to the Minnesota State Moorhead athletic department for nearly two decades, Gary Harris begins his 13th season as head women’s tennis coach at MSUM in 2008.
Last spring Harris prodded the Dragons to a third straight runnerup finish at the 2007 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championships and was saluted as the NSIC Women’s Coach of the Year for a third time.
Prior to accepting the women’s post at MSU Moorhead, Harris spent five years as men’s tennis coach.
A graduate of Minnesota State Moorhead, Harris competed in football and tennis and was a member of the concert band as well. He has coached boys’ and girls’ basketball and tennis at Detroit Lakes High School. Harris lettered in football, basketball and baseball at Detroit Lakes High after transferring from Crookston High School following his sophomore season.
Harris resides in Detroit Lakes and is involved in private business.
