Benjamin Smith, Faculty Athletic Representative
Benjamin Smith, Associate Professor of Spanish, is a Wyoming native, specializing in Medieval Spanish literature and the history of the Spanish language.
Dr. Smith loves to travel and has stomped around extensively in Europe and South America. Dr. Smith received a B.A. and M.A. in Spanish Linguistics from Brigham Young University and received his PhD in Romance Philology from the University of Pennsylvania in 2000. He is in his eighth year here at MSUM.
Dr. Smith has served as Faculty Athletic Representative since August 2004. Dr. Smith’s experience in athletics include “wrassling” in High School and fanatic attendence at all sporting event he can sneak away to.
