Ben Olson, Offensive Line Coach
A new addition to the Minnesota State Moorhead football coaching fraternity, Ben Olson brings a certified championship pedigree to his first season as Dragon offensive line coach.
The Windom native enjoyed a prosperous collegiate career at University of North Dakota and was a member of the UND 2001 NCAA Division II National Championship team. Olson started for three years on the Sioux offensive line and was a two-time All-North Central Conference selection and the NCC Offensive Lineman of the Year as a senior in 2003.
Olson signed a NFL free agent contract with the Seattle Seahawks and later spent two years in the NIFL. Olson returned to North Dakota as a graduate assistant coach in 2005 and was in charge of tight ends.
Olson received an undergraduate degree in Social Studies from UND and is pursuing an advanced degree in Kinesiology.
Olson was a baseball, football and hockey letterman at Windom High School. He was an All-Southwest Conference football selection and an all-district hockey pick.
