Angela Gross, Assistant Coach
Supported by a classy coaching and playing resume, Angela Gross returns to the MSU Moorhead coaching staff this fall. She graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 1998 with a secondary life science teaching certificate.
Gross taught Biology at Sunnyslope High School in Phoenix, AZ from 1998 until 2005. She became the head volleyball coach at Sunnyslope High in 2000 and built a successful program that quickly made waves on the state level. She fashioned a career record of 129-49 with three region championships and led SHS to the Arizona State quarterfinals three times and the state semifinals in 2005. She was honored as Region Coach of the Year in 2001 and 2004.
Angela and husband Jason have two daughters, Lydia (5) and Gail (3). Her father, Ralph Micheli, was head football coach at MSU Moorhead from 1993 through 2004 and is a member of the Health/Physical Education faculty.
