| [ 12.12.07 ] DRAGON COACHING LEGEND DIES AT 79 Funeral services will be held in Moorhead on Thursday for former Dragon wrestling coach Bill Garland, 79, who passed away on Sunday. The only coach to lead Minnesota State University Moorhead to a national championship and the man largely responsible for the growth of intercollegiate wrestling in the Red River Valley, Garland spent 28 years as head coach of the Dragons. Garland developed 52 All-Americans, including 11 national champions, and was inducted into the NAIA Hall of Fame in 1984. . . |
