Prospered in switch to defense last fall, spent first season at State as a runningback. . . Finished fourth on the defensive list last fall with 70 tackles, including 27 unassisted tackles, 1.5 for loss, two interceptions, one pass breakup and one fumble recovery. . . Entrusted with starting role in the Dragon offensive backfield as a freshman, rushed for 112 yards on 49 carries. . .
