Gracyk and Wallace volunteered to review Elementary and Early Childhood Education and report at the next meeting. Legal Studies and International Studies will probably not be ready for review until fall. Still expecting reports from: Mass Communications, Physics, Psychology and School Psychology, Chemistry, Computer Science and Information Systems, Anthropology and Earth Sciences (have seen a draft), Curriculum and Instruction, Languages and Cultures, Technology, and Reading this spring. Priority will be for reports accompanied by an Instructional Improvement Grant request. Discussion ensued on ways to improve the forms, including clarify the need for direct measures, numbering SLOs, dating the reports/plans, noting if report is based on existing plan or new plan submitted with the report, and to note modifications to plans. It was suggested to gather feedback from departments on whether the forms are user friendly. Next Meeting: Monday, May 1, 2006, 1:00 p.m., in BR 250B. The meeting adjourned at 1:52 p.m. |
