Charge: To assist departments
in revising and maintaining departmental/programmatic assessment plans for majors and graduate
programs, reviews all assessment of student learning outcomes plans
and reports and makes recommendations to the dean/director for
approval and action; prepares and makes available an annual report
of the University's progress with regard to assessing student
learning outcomes and continuous improvement in curriculum and
student learning.
Membership: Associate Vice President of
Academic Affairs, chairperson; NCATE Coordinator; Five (5) faculty members, one from each college
and one form the library chosen from those faculty members who have
been assigned departmental assessment responsibilities or who have
other expertise or practical experience with department/program
assessment; Two (2) students; one in arts and sciences and one from
the professional programs.
