Student Learning Outcomes
Students are to gain an
understanding of at least two languages other than their native language.
Students are to gain the following skills in the “primary” target language/
major:

A grasp of the main ideas and most details of
connected discourse on a variety of topics.

A demonstrated awareness of culturally implied
meanings.

An ability to follow the main ideas or facts of
written and oral discourse.

Meet most practical writing needs.

Initiate and maintain communication for most
uncomplicated social tasks.
