Student Learning Outcomes

1. Understanding of the cultural context of the major periods and movements in the history of art.

2. Understanding of the primary artistic concepts represented in the major movements of the history of art.

3. Ability to conduct art historical research.

4. Ability to write a formal research paper.

5. Ability to deliver an effective oral presentation with the use of visual aids.

6. Understanding of rudimentary German as well as secondary foreign language (a minimum of one-year of study for each language).
