The goal of the Social Work Department is to prepare students for beginning professional social work practice. Successful social work practice is based upon the acquisition of a body of knowledge, professional skills, and values appropriate for working effectively with people. Given these three prerequisites for professional practice, the following learning objectives and assessment tools are used/proposed:
