editing options become unavailable. If re-advising needed, survey sent
back.

Bakke and Willie Hallford. Official

4. Department
Effectiveness Plans
-
The following surveys
are planned for use…NSSI, Noel Levitz (employee), Noel Levitz (student),
and Senior Survey
-
Departments should
propose content of senior survey pertaining to their department
-
Budgeting for surveys
to be determined, Karen suggested that funding for all the surveys come from
the same fund rather than each group funding their own, which could cause
inconsistency
-
Surveys run every two
years except the Senior Survey which is annual
-
The commercial surveys
will have consequences for University budgets.
Lee Dexter will consult with the vice presidents to set the schedule
for using those surveys.
5. Assessing Academic Departments
-
Senior Survey
Try an on-line version, past response rate has been very poor.
Academic departments should address particular questions from the
Senior Survey in setting their Departmental goals.
This is not enough in regards to Institutional Biennial Reports
since only the senior students are being incorporated into departmental
effectiveness, so suggested by Willie to include other student surveys,
possible freshman survey. Make
sure to keep Student Learning Outcomes separate from Institutional
Effectiveness, this can be accomplished by including examples of goals.
Karen and Willie
proposed subcommittee to revise Senior Survey…Les Bakke, Willie Hallford,
Karen Mehnert-Meland, Diane Wolter, and September Luitjens
