Brad Bachmeier, MFA
Professor of Art Education


Brad Bachmeier graduated with a B.S. degree in 1993 in art education with concentrations in painting and ceramics. He finished his M.F.A. in ceramics in 2008 at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks.

Brad has taught art for fifteen years at all levels in K-12 public education in both North Dakota and Minnesota.

His work is collected nationally and has been featured on HGTV’s
“That’s Clever” TV program as well as being awarded the 2007 national NICHE award in wheel-thrown ceramics and the 2008 third place award in ceramics in the international “ARTBUZZ” competition & book publication. 

Brad exhibits work regularly in regional venues often in conjunction with ceramic forming and firing or business and marketing workshops at post-secondary institutions. Brad shows annually at the Rourke gallery and museum as well as nationally in top juried art fairs. Brad and his wife Susan have four children, Mackenna, Addison, Clay and Kyler.
