Anna Sigrídur Arnar is a Professor of Art History and a Women’s Studies Affiliated Faculty at MSUM. She teaches upper level courses in 19th- and 20th-Century Art, Women and Art, Contemporary Art, Design, and Theory (a senior capstone seminar), as well as a special topics course on the History, Aesthetics, and Criticism of the Book. She received her PhD in Art History from the University of Chicago in 2000.
Currently, she is preparing a book manuscript entitled "The Book as Instrument. Stéphane Mallarmé, The Artist’s Book, and Avant-Garde Print Culture in Nineteenth-Century France".
She has also worked on a contemporary performance
group called the "Icelandic Love Corporation".
