The student may choose one or a combination of the following printmaking media: relief printing, screenprinting, and monoprinting. Nontoxic intaglio and lithography are available. Internships are encouraged.
Student must attend a Colloquium Lecture Series, Portfolio Review 1 and 2, and an Exhibition. A grade of C- must be earned in all ART courses counted towards the major.
A minimum of five ART courses must be taken at MSUM.
Requires the completion of ART 101, 102, 125, and three introductory studio courses (ART 203A-N), the Colloquium Lecture Series, the First Portfolio Review, and a GPA of 3.0 in Art.
Students must complete at least sixteen credits in introductory studio courses chosen from ART 203A-203M, excluding ART 203D. At least four credits must be in a three-dimensional medium. Students must complete four credits of intermediate studio, ART 303A-303M, excluding ART 303D. Students must also take one Art History course at the 300 level or above.
These courses are not required, but may be beneficial to students in this emphasis.
