HLTH 122: Alcohol and College Life
Welcome to Alcohol and College Life!
HLTH 122 Alcohol and College Life is a one-credit academic course that has been taken by more than 5,000 students on six campuses in Minnesota. This course is one important component in MSUM's comprehensive effort to minimize alcohol related problems on campus. As you will learn in the course, this is especially important because MSUM resides in a region that has some of the heaviest drinking norms in the United States. We recognize that a significant percentage of students do not drink, but are affected by the behaviors of those that do. Therefore, as many college campuses are now doing, MSUM decided in Fall 2006 to require this course, both to change the culture of heavy drinking, and to reinforce those who do not drink.
