Dr. Jane Ball holds a Doctorate in anthropology from the University of Minnesota.  She has worked extensively among the Pueblos of New Mexico, especially at Jemez Pueblo, which may be considered almost as a second home.  However, her origins are here in Northwestern Minnesota and she currently resides in the forests of Becker County.  Before coming to MSUM, Dr. Ball worked at North Dakota State University where she was engaged in cultural diversity projects.  Her other interests include popular representations of American ethnicity and small dogs.  She has been known to have been followed by owls.
