Distinction in Engagement


The Distinction in Engagement program is designed to engage students in the goals of Minnesota State University Moorhead's Mission Statement in meaningful ways beyond the requirements of major programs of study and the Dragon Core general education program.

 

Steps to graduate with Distinction in Engagement:

1.) Document participation in each of the program's six categories;

2.) Write a self-reflective paper on the overall experience;

3.) Prepare and present a professional resume that includes a section on Distinction in

      Engagement program activities.

 

 

In each of the three areas,

learning ("the rigor to develop intellectually"),

service ("opporttunity to discover their passions"), and

citizenship ("versatility to shape a changing world"),

there are two catergories:

 

1.) Engagement in learning within the major;  

 2.) Engagement in learning beyond the major

3.) Engagement in service within the Unviersity

 4.) Engagement in service beyond the University.

 5.) Engagement in citizenship within the region;

 6.) Engagement in citizenship beyond the region.
