Session I: Monday, September 28 3:30 – 5:30 (location BR 263)
This session will cover the basics of course selection advising, including an introduction to the Dragon Core requirements, math and English placement, e-services for students and for faculty, reading the Interactive Degree Audit and other important information on policies and procedures. While all are welcome to attend, this session may be more appropriate for new faculty, or returning faculty who are new to advising.
Session II: Tuesday, September 29 3:30 – 5:30 (location BR 263)
This session will provide an introduction to and information on the other components of advising. We will begin with a short Dragon Core and IDARS refresher, and will then proceed with a discussion of the advising relationship, presentation by Financial Aid, an introduction to the Early Alert Program, and information on other programs and resources available on campus. This session is appropriate for both new and returning faculty.
Other faculty workshops are offered each semester on topics of interest and importance. Watch your e-mail and the Advisor Alert newsletter for information.
