The proliferation of mass media, the growth of a global economy, and the increasing diversity of our world culture, has greatly increased the need to create and understand communication within and across various contexts, cultures, and channels of communication.

That's why a Communication Studies major can be for anyone. It's a broad-based, flexible major that offers a practical approach to communicating in written, oral and mediated messages. It's an excellent double major or a minor for professions that require skilled, effective communication.
