Minnesota State University Moorhead offers one of the region's most outstanding and comprehensive art and design programs, combined with one of the region's best equipped facilities. With more than 400 students majoring in art, the department is also one of the area's largest. Faculty commitment and the success of art graduates have contributed to the exemplary reputation of the Department of Art & Design. All art students begin by enrolling in a series of foundation studies, covering aspects of theory, drawing and design. Other courses required of all majors include a broad series of introductory studio courses, art history courses and advanced studio courses.
