Favorite thing about working in Admissions:
Working with so many creative and diverse people. I love helping students and watching them grow and succeed.

Favorite thing to do on your day off: Spend time with family and friends. Hike, bike, snowmobile, garden, travel, read, scrapbook.

Best kept secret:  Not many - I am a pretty open book.

Most embarrassing moment: Somewhere in northern Montana, I was suspected of drug smuggling across the Canadian border.
Let me explain...  When taking the Amtrak with my mother and daughter to Glacier Park, I de-boarded the train.  Several of us did not hear the announcement that there would be 2 stops and that we must wait for the 2nd to get off. Needless to say, we hopped off at the first stop. I noticed a man run off quickly but thought he was dashing to the nearby convenience store. Suddenly, police and drug dogs were all around questioning and searching us.  Evidently, drug runs across the border frequently occur at this stop and the departing man was one they wanted to catch. The conductor was not going to let us get back on the train. After long pleading and demonstrating I was drug-free I was finally able to re-board. My mother and daughter watched the whole thing through the train window.

Moral of the story - People are watching you.

Pay attention, Listen to instructions. Make good choices.
