Facilities and Administration Office

The Facilities and Administration Division of Minnesota State University Moorhead is comprised of offices that support the University’s mission by administering university-wide functions such as Capital Project Planning and Management, and Key and Card Access; Business Office, Accounting and Purchasing, Student Payroll and Post Office; Physical Plant and Building Services; Human Resources; Payroll; Information Technology; Environmental Health and Safety; Campus Security; Risk Management and Contract Administration.

As we work to meet the University’s strategic objectives, we believe that our success in achieving those objectives is dependent on conducting our work activities according to core values.  These core values include working with integrity, according to high standards of quality and service.  We value honesty, trust, and ethical behavior, and the importance of developing and maintaining positive and authentic relationships. We intend for our work to be guided by high ethical and legal standards and a commitment to service that demonstrates our willingness to “go out of our way” to serve the University’s needs.

Division Mission Statement

  1. The Division offers high quality resources and services to its internal and external customers, characterized by open communication, personal attention, and respect for and recognition of individual contributions and needs.
  2. The Division will continue to develop administrative arrangements that make possible the efficient use of funds, facilities and human resources.

Division Goals

  1. To provide support personnel, facilities, and resources that enhance and complement the University experience, by utilizing sound business practices and customer-friendly processes.
  2. To maintain, repair, renovate, acquire, and construct facilities and equipment for academic and non-academic purposes.
  3. To provide support and encouragement for employee development including continuing education, creative activity, research and public service that enriches the individual, the institution, and the community.
  4. To set the standard for excellence by continually improving administrative services, and recognizing team achievements, departmental cooperation, and individualcontributions.

Facilities and Administration Office Mission and Goals

Mission

The mission of the Facilities and Administration Office is to support the missions of all units of the Division and the University, and to effectively administer its specific assignments.

Goals

  1. Provide accurate and timely responses to inquiries from our constituents.
  2. Provide appropriate classroom and office furnishings.
  3. Provide efficient key and card access system for the University.
  4. Effectively manage the campus parking spaces.
  5. Effectively support University commencement and manage 4th ofJuly event.
  6. Advocate for resources and services that meet the University’s mission. (measure of progress)
  7. Support effective employee development for Administrative Division employees.
