Roles and Responsibilities of Project Director: Every grant source has different requirements for grants management. Thus, once a grant is received the Project Director must work closely with the grantor relative to specific grants management questions. Many grantors provide excellent written guidelines to follow. Generally it is the responsibility Project Director, not the University, to monitor all project activities, meet budgetary requirements, and submit essential financial reports and progress reports. Receiving funds regularly for the grant is a dual responsibility of the Project Director and the MSUM Business Office.
