Dragon Core Courses with Laboratory or Studio
Component This type of instruction
typically involves student interaction with materials or methods related
to the discipline of instruction, usually under the supervision of an
instructor. A laboratory experience gives students an opportunity to experience science by participation in a process appropriate to their field. Students will have at least 12 faculty supervised in the laboratory or field hours during the semester to develop and/or perform scientific experiments or other approaches. Students will participate in at least three of the five approaches:
Applying the scientific method includes observation, hypothesis development, experimental design, implementation, data collection, data analysis, developing conclusions, and communicating results, in a manner consistent with disciplinary practice.
